    In Melissa Clark’s “Cook This Now,” she has a spicy salami tomato sauce with mint, which sounds crazy but is so good together. So you sauté the salami until golden and some of the fat renders, then throw in tomato sauce and some pasta water, let the sauce tighten up, add your pasta, and bam! So good. Sprinkle on mint and Parm.

    Hay is nutritive; alfalfa is a common hay plant. Straw is not nutritive, but good for livestock bedding or mixing with mud to make buildings.
