Hi guys! awesome show I love it! But I was wondering if you would do a show on corn tortilla chip and then another one on salsa? because that would be sweet :) enjoy your potatoes

Marin, I can’t believe we haven’t done chips and salsa already. What is wrong with us?

I think I’ve seen local sweet potatoes appearing in the fall in Washington.

And riye, I don’t know if I’ve ever had the purple sweet potatoes. But I know Molly is going to skip the natto-chos. :)

Have you guys had the purple sweet potatoes? (not the little snack turds) They call them Okinawan sweet potatoes here and they’re really good! :-)

I’ve had that Japanese “mountain yam” with natto, seared tuna, and mixed greens on wonton chips at a local restaurant that advertises the dish as “natto-chos”. Mmm!

So I’m rolling down Interstate 85 north at 2:27 a.m. this morning, on the final push of my roundtrip drive to and from Atlanta to pick up our darling daughter from freshman year in college, and I’m listening to Spilled Milk Sweet Potatoes show on my i-pod, which my wonderful husband loaded up for me before I left, and what do y’all start talking about but Sweet Potato Pound Cake from Southern Cakes by, well, me???!?!?!?!? Oh, yes you did! I could not believe it. I almost woke up my daughter but she was sleeping off exam week all nighters and I just grinned and listened more. Oh, what were the chances that this would delight my ears and mind in the middle of the night when I was sorely in need of a boost and a thrill? I already loved the show, your books, the subject of sweet potatoes. But to run into myself in mid show with such kind words from the likes of y’all? More precious than I can say. Thank you thank you thank you.
